Beauty

Whenever I need to get dressed up to go out and pain the town red, I always choose a fire engine color nail polish from Maybelline. To keep the frizziness out of my hair, I douse it with some water and mousse, and add an extra layer of hairspray from Aveda. I add a light foundation from Estée Lauder although it can also be from Olive Olay or anything from the aisles of Sephora. Anything that’s organic, free-trade, Kosher, anti-aging and non-comedogenic is great for my skin and eyelids. Don’t forget that you need to get plenty of sleep, and if that’s not possible to use a tea tree oil shampoo and lavender scented bubble bath wash with Epsom salts to revitalize and rejuvenate yourself. It also won’t clog pores and cause unsightly crows feet wrinkles or blackheads.

Arts & Crafts

If I had a hammer, I’d nail together this shabby chic, vintage, hipster powered organic oak and maple frame for my collage of cat photos. Then I’d use super glue to put down my bamboo floors. My walls need an eggshell acrylic latex blend of paint from Home Depot. Next I’ll take my old t-shirts and sewing machine and create an all-American quilt of material made in China. It’s something I saw at a flea market or yard sale and thought it was super cool and easy to make at home during a craft party with friends. I’ll also provide the yarn, cotton or wool, and needles and pins and everything else you need to embroider your next graduation gift or wedding present.
